Self-catering Apartments in France for Couples ~ Farmhouse in Burgundy

*** Our twentieth visit, we have found that we are "hooked" and nowhere else seems quite so appealing. Chris and Judith are wonderful hosts who make you feel so welcome and encourage a "houseparty" feel to the place. For non-party beings we have thoroughly enjoyed the barbeques and alfresco meals, and getting to know some of our fellow guests. Be warned - you may never want to go anywhere else again!

*** A wonderfully relaxing fortnight. The apartment is lovely, the company good, and Burgundy is marvellous. Do have a day at George Duboeuf's Hameau de Vin in the Beaujolais - instructive, entertaining and lots of wine to taste. One of our best holidays ever- I am sure we will be back.

*** We have had the most wonderful week - weather too, in this lovely tranquil setting. Our hosts Judith and Chris made us feel so welcome. We have enjoyed exploring all the areas around, sampling the restaurants and of course sampling the wine. We are coming back next year for another helping of the good life.

*** What a wonderful introduction to our first visit to Burgundy. After a long journey from Ottawa, we were warmly received by Chris and Judith with a glass of red wine. Like others before us we have found En La Marre to be an ideal location to discover and explore the wine villages of the region. We plan to return!

*** There is no rat-race to be found in Burgundy and it is trying to teach us how to slow down and enjoy its fabulous culture and history. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at En La Marre and our proper initiation into French wine - we have learnt a lot, assisted by Chris and Judith's hospitality and tips on where to go.

*** Too busy getting lost and unlost in so many wonderful small towns to get around to writing a sensible note here. Our hosts, Judith and Christopher, were warm, helpful and friendly and also very polite about tolerating my attempts on my trumpet. Good sports indeed.
